JDWM is the most important European site. John Deere is the biggest manufacturer of agricultural machinery in Ger-many. Here, almost 40,000 tractors are produced yearly. Production and product development are characterized by an extremely high vertical range of manufacturing. In addition to agricultural machines and vehicles, John Deere product lines comprise agricultural system solutions and services as well as sensor systems.
There are two factories and one commercial centre at John Deere France , at the Saran factory, diesel engines are developed and produced within a range from 48 hp up to 275 hp (3, 4 and 6 cylinder engines) for countless applications. There is a strong cooperation between JDWM and the French site at Saran since engine development and support is the key issue for agricultural vehicles within the project.
